If you coudn't tell, we like fish here at Roscommon. And fish, if you've ever watched them when hungry, have this innate ability to just zero in on the tiniest bit of food floating aimlessly in the waters of their tank. It is as if there is nothing else in the water at that very moment in time but that small particle of food floating perilously toward the bottom of the tank. And it's a race to catch it before the neighbor does!
Such is the case with copy editing and proofreading. Becoming too intimate with an article or manuscript will cause you to miss simple errors, and that is where we come in handy.
So, if you need an objective eye, call in the fish, because it hardly misses a morsel, and will catch it long before your neighbor (read competitor or client) catches and nabs it first!
